TRWEA Units at WGI World Championships
Congratulations to Three Rivers Indoor Percussion on their participation in the W.G.I. World Percussion Championships this weekend. Congratulations to Norwin HS W.G.I. 12th place scholastic world finalist, and to Kiski Area HS and Mt. Lebanon HS, scholastic A class semi- finalists.
2012 Championships
The 2012 TRWEA Championships have now concluded at Gateway HS. Congratulations to all our performing units and to our 2012 Class Champions! Check our 'Scores' page for all the final ratings and our 'Resources' page for commemorative item order forms.

We look forward to seeing all of the students, alumni, fans, and staff back in 2013. From everyone at TRWEA, here's to a safe and enjoyable off-season.
Norwin HS Midwestern Regional Finalist
Congratulations to Norwin High School colorguard on their 4th place finish at the W.G.I. Midwestern regional.
TRWEA Units Excel at WGI Regional
Congratulations to the following units who were named finalists at the WGI Pittsburgh Regional on March 17: Mt. Lebanon HS (SA Regional Champion), Kiski Area HS (SA), Gateway HS (SA), Deer Lakes (SA), Seneca Valley (SA), P3 (IO Regional Champion), Norwin (SW Regional Champion). TRWEA is proud of all the units that performed at Norwin (and at the TRWEA show at North Allegheny). A 'job well done' to Heather Shrump and everyone at Norwin for making Pittsburgh a home for this major event.
TRWEA Units at WGI regionals this weekend
Congratulations to Norwin HS Color Guard on their 5th place finish in the scholastic world class at the Cincinnati regional. Congratulations to Penn Trafford HS percussion for their participation in the Marching Scholastic A class finals last night in Richmond. Congrats also to Lake Erie Regiment and Seneca Valley HS color guard for their participation in the Cincinnati regional.
TRWEA Units Participate in WGI Regional
Congratulations to North Allegheny HS Percussion and TRIP, who were both named finalists at the WGI Dayton Regional.
Congratulations to Mt. Lebanon HS and Deer Lakes HS color guards for their participation in the WGI Regional held in Rochester, NY on February 25th. Congratulations to Mt. Lebanon HS on their second place finish in the high school A class!

Percussion Camp to be Held in Bradford
The first annual Throwdown marching percussion camp will be held at the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford Campus from July 18-20. For additional information, see the camp's flyer. Directors to Update Contact, Unit Information
Beginning with the upcoming season, directors must confirm that their contact information and their units' information are accurate prior to enrolling in shows. In addition, unit information must include the name and contact email of a booster or fundraising contact for the unit. Updates and confirmations made on or after August 22, 2011 are valid for the 2012 season.

Color Guard Designer/Staff
The Moon Area HS Band is seeking qualified Color Guard Designer and technicians for the 2012/2013 outdoor and indoor season. If interested, please send resume and information to Nick Barthen, Band Director - nbarthen@moonarea.net. All information must be submitted by Friday, May 18, 2012.
Assistant Color Guard Director
Growing competitive program north of Pittsburgh is seeking a color guard instructor for a school district north of Pittsburgh for the 2012 summer / fall season, hopefully to continue long-term. This position primarily supports the current Color Guard Director.

The color guard rehearses on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00-9:00 throughout the summer, then joins the marching band for band camp the first two weeks of August and continued rehearsals throughout the fall season. The program competes within the TOB organization.

Requirements:
1. Familiarity with dance terminology and technique
2. Experience spinning flag and weapon with an understanding of technique and its importance
3. Strong leadership, with ability to maintain discipline and rules of the program
4. Ability to communicate effectively with other staff and be a team player.
5. Current PA Clearances (or ability to obtain)

Desired Knowledge / Skills:
1. Ability to collaborate on dance and equipment choreography and/or drill
2. Experience with an Open Class or above program, or with DCI and/or WGI experience
3. Strong sabre skills (specifically) and familiarity with various training options.

Indoor Percussion Design/Instruction
Dave Campbell is looking to design or teach an additional indoor percussion group this season. He is the director of Three Rivers Indoor Percussion and former Percussion Coordinator for TRWEA. Dave has taught and designed percussion and drill for over 25 local drumlines both indoor and out and was a WGI percussion adjudicator from 1995 until 2002. Percussion Arranger
Rich Zabinski is looking for battery percussion writing/arranging opportunities for the upcoming year. Rich has 23 years experience in indoor and outdoor percussion arranging. Past/current organizations include Kiski Area HS, Centerville HS, Elizabeth Forward HS, East Allegheny HS, Mars Area HS, West Allegheny HS, and the Steel City Ambassadors Sr. Drum and Bugle Corps.
